It is smooth to the touch and has NO pealing…crackled or distressed leather, features a specialized finish that splinters as it dries to create a network of fine lines. It is often achieved by applying rigid finishes, paints, or metallic foils to the surface, which crack upon drying or bending. J.Crew knows wool, cashmere and leather very well….its a stunner piece.
