It has a nice sun protection, compared with other common hats. This hat combines the classic appeal of a wide brim with the playful charm of a jumbo bow, making it a distinctive and fashionable access. The design characterizes this horse racing event hat. The large brim creates a statement piece, and the jumbo bow adds a touch of whimsy and feminine elegance. Crafted from Cotton and Canvas, it exudes a light and airy feel, making it a stylish and comfortable choice for a day at the races. This hat is much better quality than the price implies. Heavier and more dense than I anticipated as it is cotton and Canvas and not paper or straw. It will fit, even if you have a larger head. The brim is a nice snug fit. The rim does have a WIRE insert, not plastic, which makes a huge difference to the good. You can form the brim edge perfectly round in about 2 minutes of shaping.
